Cerebral Connections

  Who are the Cerebral Connections?

We are an inspirational team of teenagers and young adults from The Neurosurgical Units at BCH and the QEH.     We are patients; former patients; friends of patients; patient siblings; doctors and nurses.

We travel around The West Midlands participating in challenging events to raise not only funds for The Neurosurgical Units, but also an awareness of our particular conditions.   We want to educate people about our different disabilities; there are trillions of cerebral connections in the brain.

Some youngsters in the group have Cerebral Palsy; others have head injuries; some just wanted to help a friend with a brain tumour.

Cheque

Lara Holland presents her cheque on behalf of Cerebral Connections to Birmingham children's Hospital. The cheque £1279.00 was money that Lara raised at the Abseil and Chicken run for Cerebral Connections in 2008 for the The Neurosurgical Units at BCH and the QEH.
